Superstar Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu stood as the second highest grosser in the Tollywood. And the film's songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad became instant chart busters. Of them, the melody song Jatha Kalise, picturised on Mahesh and Shruti, was a rage among youths. Banking on the craze, makers have christened an upcoming film as "Jatha Kalise". What's more? They have roped in Tejaswi Madivada, of Ice Cream, Heart Attack, SVSC fame, as the lead heroine.
Newcomer Aswin will be launched as hero with the movie. Written and to be directed by Rakesh Sasi, first-timer producer Naresh Ravuri is producing the film. It is learnt that the makers have registered the title "Jatha Kalise" in the Film Chamber after Srimanthudu audio is out. Rakesh earlier worked with the likes of RGV, Gunasekhar, Paruchuri Brothers, Chinni Krishna and he is now testing his luck with his maiden movie.
Ananth Sriram will be penning lyrics for the film which has music by Vikki and background score by Vydi. Tipped to be a road movie, the movie will be extensively shot in the locales of Vizag, Annavaram, Rajahmundry, Ramachandrapuram, Rampachodavaram forest and Hyderabad. Makers are planning to release the film's first look on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.
