Alia is like a hyper child, says her Shaandaar co-star Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor says he did not think about "expectations" from his upcoming film Shaandaar when he started shooting for it.
"Shaandaar is an easy, breezy film. When we started shooting, the Queen (directed by Vikas Bahl) was not released, evenHaider (starring Shahid) was not released and Alia's Highway was released," Shahid told the media at an event organised on Friday night.
"When we took the film we all were not that exciting. We were glad that films of us (director Vikas Bahl, Alia and he) went well. We came on board for this film because we found it entertaining and a fresh concept," he said.
Considering director Bahl's last film Queen starring Kangana Ranaut did quite well at the box office, there are expectations from his upcoming film Shaandaar.
"We did not think about the expectations and all from Shaandaar. We just went and had fun," Shahid said.
It is for the first time that Shahid and Alia are paired opposite each other. The film is to release on October 22.
"Alia is like a hyper child. 'Shaandaar' is 'Shaandaar' and Alia is Alia," Shahid said.
At the event, Alia came to the rescue of her Shaandaar co-star Shahid and helped him avoid questions related to his marriage.
Friday night's event revolved around the theme 'Make your first move'. So when Shahid was asked who made the first move in his relationship -- he or his wife Mira, he avoided the question saying, "What? This is 'Shaandaar' event. In your life who made the first move? Your husband (to the journalist)... so he won. After marriage husband gets success."
When asked why Shahid was so reserved about his personal life, Alia interrupted and said, "Because it is personal."
Shahid thinks it is not fair to ask personal questions when he is working.
"You all ask about my personal life when I am doing my work. When I am not working that time you ask me," he added.
One of the journalists present said the media, which had supported him all through his career, wants to know something about him and Mira. Shahid looked at Alia, who took the mike from the journalist.
"I am protective about Shahid. We are here for 'Shaandaar', so I get irritated when everyone asks personal stuff when we are at work front. We can only talk about work," she said.
