Mahesh Babu & Mohanlal give Thumbs Up

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan launched Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty with the flick ‘Hero’ which released last Friday. Mohanlal and Mahesh Babu, who are two of the big stars down South, took to twitter to congratulate the makers for the success.

Mahesh Babu: “Saw ‘hero ‘. Thanks to salman for giving the industry 2 promising stars Suraj Pancholi and Athiya shetty. Congratulations to the entire team ..a job well done”.

Mohanlal: “The Hero n Heroine of “HERO” has made the movie huge success..welcome to all newcomers…Let it be the beginning”.

In the opening weekend, ‘Hero’ collected Rs 21.20 crore (break-up: Fri 6.85 cr, Sat 6.62 cr, Sun 7.73 cr). Salman Khan expressed his happiness over the revenue and thanked everyone who have gone to watch his maiden production.

Will Dera chief enter 'Big Boss 9'?

Godman-turned-actor Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is all set to again create a buzz on the big screen with a sequel to the 2015 film "MSG - the Messenger", confirms that he has been approached by the makers of reality show "Bigg Boss 9", but has put forth certain conditions to enter the show.

The Dera Saccha Sauda chief was present at a music launch of his film "MSG 2 - The Messenger", at an event here on Wednesday. The film is releasing on September 18.

Asked whether he had been approached to appear in `Bigg Boss 9`, he said: `Yes, I've been approached to appear on the show. But I asked them if they allow me to exit the house for 2-3 hours every day to meet my followers then I can think for it. Still nothing is finalised.`

"Bigg Boss 9", to be hosted by superstar Salman Khan, is an Indian version of internationally acclaimed reality format "Celebrity Big Brother". 

The show involves celebrity contestants locked inside a purpose-built house for three months under constant camera surveillance.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who will return as the host of popular reality show 'Bigg Boss' in its upcoming ninth season, promises 'double trouble' in the show's first promo which was released on Sunday. 

Salman Khan shot for the promo in Mumbai on Friday. He took to social media to share a photo from the shoot and tweeted, "Bigg boss season 9 is mine . #biggboss9 promo shoot . @rajcheerfull @ColorsTV"

Salman, 49, hosted the last season of the show, but later stepped down from its extended edition 'Bigg Boss Halla Bol' which was hosted by choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan. At that time, he had to attend to his other film commitments.

The 'Dabangg' star has hosted a total of four seasons of the show, which is an Indian version of internationally acclaimed reality format "Celebrity Big Brother". The show involves celebrity contestants locked inside a purpose-built house for three months under constant camera surveillance and with no luxury and limited amenities of life.

On the film front, the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor will next be seen in 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' but he's keeping busy by promoting his forthcoming production 'Hero', the title song of which he has crooned himself.
