Vijay’s much awaited movie ‘Puli’ hit the theatre screens last month. The film failed to perform at the box office and put the producers into financial trouble. Recently, Sridevi, who played the role of the vicious queen in the film, filed a case against the producers P.T. Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens. She alleged the two of not making complete payment to her despite making requests quite a few times.
According to reports, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Shruthi Haasan and Kiccha Sudeep have teamed up again. The three have decided to cancel the cheque issued to them for the last instalment of their payment. The three decided to such a generous act as their film bombed at the box office and they want to compensate the makers.
This should give financial relief to the producers, who owe a part of payment to Sridevi. The actress is yet to receive a balance of Rs. 50 lakhs from the producers. Currently, the case has been referred to Tamil Producers Council for further proceedings.
