When Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar tied the knot, it was time for Ram Gopal Varma to trot out Twitter to express his admiration for her. "Extremely happy to hear news about the most beautiful actress I ever worked with. I wish from heart that her life will be ‘Rangeela’ forever," said RGV, who cast her in films like Kaun, Satya, Jungle, Daud, and Bhoot, besides of course Rangeela.
Urmila tied the knot in a low-key affair with her long-time boy friend, Kashmiri businessman, and actor Mohsin Akhtar Mir. The child actress-turned-diva, who has sustained her position as a dream girl for years started off humbly when she debuted in a Sunny Deol film. The Telugu audience remember her for her bubbly girl's role in Jagapathi Babu-starrer Gaayam. Her song 'Nizam Pori', featuring Uttej, is immortal, to say the least.
"We wanted it to be a low key affair and the wedding was witnessed only by family and close friends. I look forward to all your good wishes and blessings, as we embark on this new journey, " said Urmila. The wedding was held on the afternoon of Feb 3. The only star face in the scene of guests, was designer Manish Malhotra, who is Urmila's close friend.
Urmila has acted as one of the heroines of Kamal Haasan in the blockbuster Tamil film 'Indian' directed by Shankar that released in 1996. The actress is 42 now.
